Job Description
As an Oncology Nurse, you will specialize in providing care to patients diagnosed with cancer. You will administer chemotherapy, manage side effects, and offer emotional support to patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments
- Monitor patients’ response to treatment and manage side effects
- Educate patients and families about cancer treatment options and self-care
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
- Participate in cancer research and clinical trials (optional)
Requirements
- Valid and current RN license
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification (preferred)
- BSN degree (preferred)
