Job Description
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with mental health and behavioral disorders. You will work in collaboration with psychiatrists and therapists to deliver comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure holistic care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health management
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP)
- Certification as a PMHNP
- Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings
